Privacy
This website is for parents and teachers. It is built to collect as close to nothing as a website can.
On this site
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
- Fonts, images and styles are served from this site only. No request goes to another company when a page loads.
- A video is shown as a still picture with a play button. Only when you press play is YouTube's no-cookie player loaded, and from then on Google's privacy policy applies to the video.
- Links to sources open quran.com and sunnah.com in your browser; those sites have their own policies.
- The hosting provider keeps the usual short-lived server logs needed to run a website. We do not add to them.
Nothing from children
Nothing on this site asks a child for anything. The letter, the contact address and any drawing or question are for an adult to send from their own address, and we keep a child's first name and age only when a parent sends them for that purpose.
The letter
If you join The Alif Lane Letter, we keep your email address to send it, and nothing else about you. We do not share it or use it for anything but the letter. Every letter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address. The provider that will send the letter, and where it stores addresses, will be named here before the first letter goes out.
If you write to hello@aliflane.com, we keep the conversation for as long as it takes to answer and act on it. Ask, and we delete it.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to hello@aliflane.com. You may also complain to the data protection authority in Portugal, the CNPD, or in your own country.
